Drawn from Valor started out as a single creative project. We believed that if we could make a story kids and families could view together, it might start a conversation, and that spark could lead to better care and informed decisions about how to seek treatments for physical and mental health conditions.

As the Director of Community Engagement, I was responsible for defining their brand voice through engaging communication and visual resources. With a goal of increasing brand awareness and donor investment,  I led brand strategy and development, social media strategy, community management, brand partnerships, and volunteer coordination.

Drawn from Valor Color Palette

Drawn from Valor Corporate Rebrand

When I was hired, Drawn from Valor's branding was dark, foreboding, and just a little scary. Since our target audience was children first and their families and parents second, I felt the branding needed a cheerier disposition.

I worked closely with our Production Manager using the above color palette as inspiration and our star character, Oinya (pictured below) to create a brand identity that was vibrant, approachable, uplifting, and inspiring.

PARTNERSHIPS

Drawn from Valor partnered with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and like-minded organizations to create free resources that educate through the power of storytelling. Ultimately, the goal of Drawn from Valor was to empower families to transform their lives for the better regardless of the health challenges they may face.

During my time at DfV, I worked with our Executive Director to partner with organizations to help share our resources, educate kids and families, and help all we reached to live longer, happier, healthier lives.
